The Tao of the Dude
A regular column, featured in the PaiPost, a tiny, provincial newspaper in a small traveler's town smack-dab in the middle of nowhere, somewhere in the north of Thailand. Pai is the perfect Dudeist town, offering an indigenous Asian outlook, a cult of expat Japanese hippie musicians, lots of people from all over the world who traveled thousands of miles to get high and sleep in hammocks all day, the odd Creedence Clearwater Revival song wafting from hither and thither, and a strict (but optional) drug regimen to keep your mind limber.
